What’s it about?
George Mason University Korea hosts the annual Progress at Play Competition, urging global students to craft computer games or digital art addressing contemporary social issues. The competition aims to debunk negative perceptions surrounding computer games while promoting public awareness of current societal challenges.

What’s the theme of the contest?
The Progress at Play Competition seeks to raise public awareness of social issues through computer games and digital art to demonstrate their potential for positive impacts.
Express various challenges in our society that need to be solved through cooperation and continuous efforts!

Who is Eligible?
The Progress at Play Competition is open to all middle school, high school, and university students in Korea and all around the world!

Media Categories and Sizes
You can choose one category from these five categories:
Animation, Webtoon, Computer Game, Films, and Illustration.ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
- Animation, Films: h.264 and encoded mp4 (preferred within 100mb)
- Webtoon, Illustrations: Digital images (png/jpg) (preferred within 100mb)
- Computer Game: Zip files (preferred within 100mb)

There is not limit to the number of submissions, but only a single work can be selected at the award. If you have stolen and submitted someone else’s work, you may be excluded from the selection.

What are the judging criteria?
Social values (30), Completion (30), Quality (20), and Creativity/Uniqueness (20)

- Social Values / Has the chosen theme and issues surrounding it been fully expressed?
- Completion / Is the topic clearly communicated and the content is highly completed?
- Quality / How well does the artwork utilize the principles of art and design?
- Creativity/Uniqueness / Differentiation and competitiveness from other works
